Sparkling launch for Eltham CD!

A few heads are a bit sore today after yesterday’s buzzing launch party for our CD ’Aspects of Winter – The Eltham Collection’.  We celebrated our talented local musicians at a packed event with the vibrant artistic backdrop of Eltham’s Capital Art Gallery in the Well Hall Parade. There was wine, music and song on offer, along with a chance to mingle and meet the musicians.IMG_5884

Lots of you generously bought the remarkable CD of folk and blues-inspired songs in a collection of original compositions performed by musicians who had first got together during the Winter Song Challenge of last November’s Eltham Arts Winter Festival. While we chatted, sipped and snacked, we were also treated to some wonderful ‘unplugged’ impromptu performances by:

DSC_0854Lots of the Eltham Arts team were there –  here’s Treasurer John Wingham saying a few word of thanks to everybody – the wonderful musicians, Capital Art Gallery owners Carl and Michelle, the Eltham Arts team and above all, Chair Gaynor Wingham who co-ordinated this project which has been many months in the making!
